Coarse zirconium, twenty-five at a time. The Abracs ABFZ125B040 is a 125 x 22mm zirconium flap disc in 40 grit, supplied in a box of 25 — the coarse grade for weld dressing, heavy stock removal and cleaning back rough steel before anything finer goes near it.

Zirconium is the abrasive that earns its keep on steel and stainless: it fractures as it wears, continually exposing fresh cutting edges rather than dulling to a polish. Flap construction means the disc conforms to the work and keeps cutting as the outer layers wear away, so it lasts where a fibre disc would have gone.
