Knipex 74 01 200 High Leverage Diagonal Cutter 200mm

Cut piano wire without cutting your hand off at the wrist. The Knipex 74 01 200 is a 200mm high leverage diagonal cutter — the jaws sit unusually close to the pivot, which is what turns a hard cut into an easy one and lets it take 2.5mm piano wire, 3.0mm hard wire and 4.2mm nails.

Knipex rate the geometry at around a 20% energy saving against a conventional cutter of the same length: the cutting edge angle, the transmission ratio and the handle shape are matched to each other rather than designed separately. The edges are induction-hardened to approximately 64 HRC on chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel, forged and multi-stage oil hardened, on a forged-in axle built for continuous stress.
